On Wednesday Trump tweeted that "Amazon is doing great damage to tax paying retailers. Towns, cities and states throughout the U.S. are being hurt - many jobs being lost!"
Of course, Trump got it wrong again, according to the copmpany's latest annual report to the Securities and Exchange Commission, Amazon paid $412 million in income taxes last year. They also paid federal, state, local and foreign taxes. Between '07 and '15 they paid 13 percent, (which is lower than the average). Amazon also collects sales tax (although yes, it once didn't).
Amazon is a rather big company, they have 341,400 employees and their annual revenue is 136 billion USD. When compared to The Trump Organization, it's roughly 10 times bigger. The Trump Organization has 22450 (legal) employees and annual revenue of 9.5 billion USD.
However, while we know, or can easily find out the taxes Amazon has paid,
could we get the same about The Trump Organization, please? And the man's personal tax records as well?
